Gili Cohen is Haaretz newspaper's military correspondent. Cohen, who was born in 1989, has been writing for Haaretz since 2010. She began her journalistic career at the IDF's weekly newspaper Bamahane, where she served for three years as the military correspondent. In 2009 she received the Ruth Leviav prize for her service in Bamahane, and taught at the newspaper's journalist training course. Upon completing her army service, Cohen joined Haaretz as a municipal correspondent, and was later appointed Haaretz's military correspondent. She has a bachelor's degree in political science from Tel Aviv University.
