MK Moti Yogev

Member of the Knesset for the Jewish Home

Gen. (ret.) Moti Yogev MK, member of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.

Born and raised in Haifa.  Served as combat soldier and team commander in Shaked Commando Unit,  and as company commander in the 202nd Paratroopers Battalion and as company commander with Sayeret Matkal. He later served as commander of the 202nd Paratroopers Battalion. After studying at Haifa University (MA cum Lauda in political science) and the IDF National Defense College, he served as commander of the Efraim Brigade, as instructor in the IDF course for company and battalion commanders, and also as commander of the IDF training base for (new) recruits.

Following his discharge from the IDF he returned to operational service and served as Chief of Staff of the Gaza Division in reserve duty.

Also following his discharge from the IDF, Yogev was Secretary General of Bnei Akiva and as deputy Head of the Matte Binyamin Regional Council.
